LifeCam NX-6000

Things to Try with the LifeCam NX-6000
Once you have installed the included LifeCam software and plugged your LifeCam into a USB port, take
your LifeCam for a spin and check out these unique features:
• Press the Windows Live Call Button (note you must be using Windows Live Messenger) located at
the top of the LifeCam. This will automatically sign you into your Windows Live Messenger account.
Your Buddy Picker window will also automatically pop up, showing only your current online
buddies.

• Click your contact of choice, then click OK to open a Windows Live IM dialog window.
• Click the video button at the top of your IM window to initiate a video call.

• During your video conversation, click the LifeCam Dashboard icon within the Windows Live
Messenger User Interface.
• Experience more with your LifeCam! Try panning, tilting, and zooming during your video
conversation.

• Click any of the Video Effects, such as falling snowlakes, to enhance your video conversation.
• Once you’ve ended your video conversation, open the Capture User Interface by either clicking the
Microsoft LifeCam shortcut on your desktop or by clicking Start, All Programs, and then Microsoft
LifeCam.
• Take a picture with the LifeCam by clicking the camera icon within the Capture User Interface.
• Your picture will appear in the bottom left hand corner of the Capture User Interface. Use the One-
Touch Blogging tool to post the photo to your Windows Live Space by clicking the Spaces icon in
the bottom-right corner of the Capture User Interface.
